From a series of programs labelled "Kiowa Songs rendered and translated by John Bosin. John Bosin is a Kiowa, now resident in Grand Rapids. He married an Ojibwa woman and has two adult sons living in Muskegon--accomplished dancers. Though the Michigan Indians saw Oklahoma dances in Detroit, they did not become proficient in the songs and dances until 1965 and 1966, under the tutelage of Bosin. Bosin says he wishes to learn Algonquian songs, but has not done so."
"Girl's song. A girl, a daughter of the chief sings this song. She says 'I'm looking for a man (Chief's son) who wears a big stamped brooch on a cord around his neck.'" Performed by Jasper Blowsnake, Thunder Clan.; On sound tape reel copy made in 1964 from original recorded on phonograph disc.
